Staffing an Airgurus air ambulance will depend on area of pick-up and delivery, patient's medical case and type of air ambulance. In the Philippines, our helicopters are mostly used to transport patients and the crew may consist of professional emergency medical technicians, flight nurses, a respiratory therapist or in some cases, a physician. Airgurus ensures that our medical flight crew's primary focus is on critical care transport and so we generally staff our air ambulance with a physician and a specially-trained advance care paramedic or nurse. Our objective for each medical transport is rapid deliver of definitive care from the points of pick-up to points of delivery, with the eventual transport of the patient being accomplished by ground ambulance waiting. In some cases, our air ambulance directly delivers patients via helicopter to hospitals with helipads.
