A protected Natural Marine Park in Sulu Sea, Philippines, Tubbataha Reef is home to over 1,000 species and many of them are considered endangered like the Hawksbill Sea Turtles. It is a popular haven for professional divers worldwide. It is because of Tubbataha's diverse ecosystem that the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO declared Tubbataha Reef as a World Heritage Site in December 1993.

Smit Singapore PTE Ltd., the company that contracted us to assist in the transport and safety of the workers... in their goal to remove the USS Guardian from Tubbataha Reef. The Jascon 25 is said to cut the USS Guardian into pieces and these pieces will be transported out of the area.

An Extremely Busy Love Season 2013

The "Love Peak Season" is now over for us at Airgurus Ltd. Co. Every year between February 10 - 18, we are always fully-booked  for our Romantic Tour Packages and for flying love birds to various destinations in the country.

Our favorite Romeo and Juliet... Ella and Aldo.
This year, we have flown a lot of couples on Valentine's Day for a Metro Manila short helicopter tour, to Boracay drop-offs for a few days stay, to day tours at secluded islands all over the country, to El Fraile Island for a private romantic picnic and to Tagaytay for either sightseeing or a romantic breakfast and lunch getaway at the world-renowned Filipino restaurant there called Antonio's Tagaytay. We have also flown to the latter, some famous celebrity couples too during breakfast, lunch and early dinner period. Being the top helicopter company in the Philippines, we withhold publishing names of our celebrity and non-showbiz (but VIP) clients... acting upon their requests and we, at Airgurus, respects their privacy.

Fueled by the mood of love... Aldo, a mere student back then is still our favorite and best Romeo at Airgurus.
Valentine's Season 2013 or "Love Season" as we call it is, always fun for us. We take pride and joy seeing Romeos and Juliets making the most effort with us to show their love to their significant others. One client of ours in 2012 even told us he had to make a personal loan for the day of love just to make his girlfriend happy by them traveling in style as they see the beauty of our country all the way from Manila to an expensive island getaway in the far South. We understand them because when it comes to real love and making their significant others happy, money is never a question. From budgeted to grand and crazy sprees, all love flights have been planned with us long before to make their memories with us last them a lifetime... and all are fueled by the mood of Valentine's Day.

2013 Goals: Additional Aircraft For Air Ambulance

The term "Air Ambulance" (a specially outfitted aircraft that transport the sick or injured in a medical emergency or over distances or terrain impractical for a conventional ground ambulance) used to be unknown in the Philippines.

Via Airgurus, we have earned our mark in the nation. After 2012, we can firmly say that the terms "air ambulance, medevac|medivac" (emergency evacuation of the sick or wounded) are no longer strange words and along with our efforts to make them known, Airgurus has become synonymous to those terms.

For years, we have been providing medical air transport for people with various health conditions in the country and we have conducted / achieved so far, 964 successful medevac missions as of January 16. Capt. Harry Lero, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Pilot of Airgurus Ltd. Co., felt the growing need to add more reliable air medical transport vehicles and aircraft to the fleet.

A bigger helicopter and a fixed-wing aircraft comes in his mind and Capt. Lero is bent to achieve these goals by the 2nd quarter of the year to solely dedicate them to the sick and the injured in the Philippines.

Exciting & Challenging 3rd Quarter 2012

Airgurus' 3rd quarter of 2012 was fun-filled... starting off with the arrival of "Hawkeye"... our pet name for our recently acquired chopper, Bell 206 BIII Jet Ranger. The rest of the period was filled with a lot of helicopter tours, corporate / VIP charters and medical evacuations (MEDEVAC) all over the country.

We also faced some great challenges during the month of August as Philippines was hit by a strong typhoon. Our Helicopter Search and Rescue (SAR) team was busy doing private emergency evacuation services in Bulacan, Bataan and other parts of Northern Luzon as calls from abroad poured in. OFWs concerned for their families in various provinces in the North hired us to either evacuate their loved ones at the height of the storm and placed them in safe places or deliver food, clothing, medicines to badly hit areas.

All went well during the stormy months and we had fun times with some famous celebrities in the country too like Tim Yap and Elmo Magalona through Oishi's O Wow promotion and Fabio Ide taking his parents out for a private helicopter treat to Tagaytay.

The Oishi Chopper Shower

July 20, 2012 was a memorable day for us. Airgurus was part of Oishi's Chopper Shower... bringing so much joy to students of Marcelo H. Del Pilar High School.

Our helicopter took Team O to Bulacan Sports Complex, where students of Marcelo H. Del Pilar High School were waiting. They were taken by surprise as the chopper showered them surprises packs from Oishi O, Wow! The surprises kept on coming as the chopper came in for a landing and out came Team O's Elmo Magalona and Tim Yap.

The chopper shower is just the first of Team O's big surprises. So what's next for Team O? "Like"  Oishi Facebook Page! More photos are there!

Thanks Team O for working with us!
